Abstract

This study explores the factors influencing local community participation in tourism development in Quang Ninh province. The proposed hypotheses suggest that both objective and subjective factors impact tourism development, including local residents’ awareness, government support policies, economic benefits, community participation capacity, heritage promotion, attitudes toward tourism, and social influence. Data were collected from a survey of 255 residents at various tourist sites and areas within Quang Ninh province. The findings indicate that key determinants of local community participation include personal awareness, social influence, economic benefits, attitudes toward tourism, seasonal factors, government investment support, participation capacity, and heritage promotion.
