Types of articles

Manuscripts submitted to JEB should neither be published previously (original research) nor be under consideration for publication in another journal. The main article types are as follows:

  1. Original articles: The journal considers all original manuscripts provided that the work reports a substantial amount of new information (original research) or proposes significantly scientific and/or practical methods, ideas, and solutions. Authors should not unnecessarily divide their work into several related manuscripts. The quality and impact of the study will be considered during peer review.
  2. Review articles: These mainly summarize the research findings of existing articles, and thereby making a sound assessment of the main themes, supporting arguments, and implications in the original literature.

Please select the correct type of article when submitting.
